BUDIARTO STARTED HIS MARKETING CAREER IN NESTLE AND COCA-COLA INDONESIA BEFORE ADVANCING AS THE GENERAL MANAGER OF SEKAR BUMI AND VICE PRESIDENT OF JAPFA COMFEED. IN 2002 HE JOINED SAMSUNG INDONESIA AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND SUCCESSFULLY REPOSITIONED THE HHP BRAND IN THE MARKET TO A STRONG LEADING BRAND IN INDONESIA.
Budiarto later joined Whizfone Indonesia as CEO and in 2006 started his own mobile phone distribution company. Currently, Budiarto holds the CEO position at ASTEC, the rising sports equipment, accessories and apparel company in Indonesia and Asia Pacific. His key responsibilities are penetrating and growing new markets in Asia in addition to taking ASTEC to its new destination.
